What's next ...
I started Fly Feet to inspire people to chase a better version of themselves. It is part of our ethos. Our community and our team works hard every single day to manifest this vision. It is something that is hard to do alone, because as humans, we find that the status quo is just easier.
Part of that ethos is to continually ask the tough questions and to push ourselves towards new experiences that allow us to continue to grow both in the studio and out of the studio. It’s about being open when the universe drops opportunities in our laps. It’s about believing that we never “arrive” and that the path is always just beyond our comfort zone.
As Fly Feet has evolved, one of the most rewarding parts of the journey is how our team has come together to support the community, each other, and the business. They intrinsically have a “flyer first” mentality and every decision made is in service of the community. They act like owners. As their leader, this has allowed me to support their development, explore how we take Fly Feet to the next level, and continue to evolve in my own development. For that, I’m incredibly grateful.
Over the last year, I’ve been able to start my blog, deliver several keynote speeches, start The Catalyst Circle, sit on several boards, and continue to build my retail and brand consulting practice, mentor some amazing women, all while Fly Feet continues to grow.
And then one day earlier this year, the universe intervened and threw a great big opportunity our way that well, we just couldn’t ignore for so many reasons… who it was with, the opportunity to have huge impact, allowing Fly Feet continue to grow, a new adventure.
Next month, as a family, we begin our next chapter in Phoenix, AZ. I have the enormous privilege of leading the Merchandising organization for PetSmart. (WOOF!) It’s an incredible opportunity to lead a talented team with inspiring leaders in a category that everyone loves. And, we’re in between getting a guinea pig (omg) or a dog. Taking votes now.
As a family, we are really excited for our new adventure but obviously sad to leave our friends and community here. But when winter hits in a couple of weeks, (lol) come see us in Scottsdale. We’ll take you in with open arms. I know my Fly Feet team is ready to open the next studio in Arizona asap, so stay tuned!
